The Textile Machinery Order Index compiled by the Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (ACIMIT) shows an average growth of 18% in 2017 compared to 2016. Not only did Italy's domestic orders increase by 36%, but foreign markets also increased by 16% in annual orders.

 

During the period from October to December 2017, the order index increased by 29% year-on-year to 120.9 points (100 in 2010). For the export market, the absolute value of the index is 128 points (+23%), while the absolute value of the Italian domestic market is 72%. For the period from October to December 2016, the absolute value of the index is 94.5. point.

 

ACIMIT Chairman Alessandro Zucchi commented: “The 2017 Order Index confirms that our industry is in good shape and production trends have been growing since 2015. Currently, the textile industry is more focused than ever on the applications provided by Industry 4.0. The industry's needs are constantly evolving. the concept of market-to-time is treated extremely, and the required production processes must be fast and interconnected to meet the needs of the end consumer. However it is hard to imagine that the 4.0 incentives will be so significant. Leverage effect."

 

ACIMIT represents about 300 Italian textile machinery manufacturers and expects to produce a total of 2.7 billion euros of machinery in 2017, with exports accounting for more than 85% of total sales.
